Our story
The story behind JJM Networks
JJM Networks started in a spare bedroom in Carlisle back in 2011, founded by Joel Maloney with a laptop and a stubborn belief: that technology should be helping your business move forward, not holding it back. Fifteen years on, we now look after over 100 UK businesses.
We're based at Pacific House in Carlisle, looking after IT, cybersecurity, cloud, broadband and comms for businesses across North West Cumbria and South West Scotland. From day-to-day support and maintenance to networking and phone systems, we handle everything for you.
We're not a company that sells you something and disappears: most clients have been with us for years, not months. If something breaks we fix it, and if something could be better, we'll tell you straight, in plain English and with no hard sell. It's how we've kept clients for fifteen years.

Joel
Technical Director
Technical leadership & direction
Joel is JJM Networks' founding father: he started the business from a laptop in 2011 and has spent fifteen years building it into the team you see here. He sets the technical direction, scopes the more challenging projects himself, and stays close to the day-to-day work.

Taylor
Field IT Engineer
Infrastructure projects & support
Taylor's the hands-on engineer you'll find on site, taking care of all the Wi-Fi, network installs, hardware specification and new-office setups. He picks up helpdesk tickets between projects too, so he's around from the very first install right through to the support calls that follow it later.

Mark
Support Technician
Helpdesk & first-line support
Mark's the support technician you'll speak to most often, handling the bulk of the helpdesk and explaining things in plain English, no matter who's calling. Years in the British military supporting communications and IT systems made him calm, methodical and patient under pressure.

Helen
Finance Manager
Invoicing, billing & accounts
Helen looks after the invoicing, billing and financial planning at JJM Networks. With a long finance career built in construction behind her, she keeps the numbers tidy, the invoices itemised, and the explanations in plain English. Clients always know what they're paying for, and why.
